Contains documents tied to the Wounded Knee Massacre in December 1890. Included in this series are documents tied to the fight for landmark designation of the Wounded Knee massacre site which include historical accounts and transcripts of descendant relative interviews as well as black and white copies of photos and sketched historical maps of the area and massacre site. There are also contained property loss claim letters from survivors and their family members, lists of the wounded and killed, wounded, and living (at the time), correspondence, statements, narratives, pensions tied to the massacre and survivor meeting minutes.
